Character Design

Concept designs we have been working on over the past few weeks, all trying to keep with the same style. Line art by Sean and Adrienne, colouring from a mix of all three of us.

Background thumbnail designs

We needed to have for background draft ideas coloured; produced by Adrienne she explored the different colour spacing and ideas ready for storyboarding and layouting.

After finishing the character designs we settled on these three designs; these may change within the few weeks as we start stroyboarding and layouts

Hiya viewers, welcome to our Term 1 assesment for ACNZ 2013. Over the next 11 weeks expect to see trails and tribulations along with many, many paper cuts as we put together something magical for your viewing pleasure.

Meet the amazing team:

Adrienne: 2D classical animator who enjoys and excels in  backgrounds, storyboard, layouts and animating. Trained in classical animation but has a strong digital background as well. Well versed in Photoshop and Toonboom animation and colouring. Aims to become a Disney animator, teacher, illustrator or a freelance Artist. Loves learning and strives to achieve highly.

Alex: 2D classical animator enjoys most areas of classical animation. Strong hand drawn techniques and well trained in the classical princples of animation. Has a passion to make things come alive on the paper. Dreams to become a 2D animator for Disney and be part of something memorable, and to own a pirate ship to explore the world in, gaining artistic experience and improving her mind and imagination.

Sean: 2D classical animator, Sean has been an artist from an early age. He has also been involved in amature theater scince the age of five, performing in such plays as, George Orwell's "1984", "History Boys", and "A Christmas Carol". He dreams of riding a panda across the alps to engage in unarmmed combat with the bird people who live in the sky above Indea. Barring that, he wishes to take the film industry by storm, eventually directing for both film and television.
